Toccoa man charged after marijuana plants found

TOCCOA A Toccoa man was arrested Tuesday in connection with 12 marijuana plants found growing in the wooded area behind his apartment.

Toccoa Assistant Police Chief Tim Jarrell said Terry Lewis Hardman, 54, of Braswell Street was charged with manufacturing marijuana within 1,000 feet of housing authority property, and manufacturing marijuana.

The plants were discovered during an investigation, Jarrell said.

Hardman was taken to Stephens County Jail, where he remained Wednesday.
