Woman long associated with Brenau dies at 95

GAINESVILLE - The funeral will be held Saturday at 4:00 at First United Methodist Church of Gainesville for Grace Moore, who died Wednesday at the age of 95.

Moore died at Lanier Village Estates.

Moore was long associated with Brenau University, first as a student (at what was then Brenau College) where she majored in speech and drama, graduating in 1938.

She was a member of the Brenau University Trustees and served as chairman in 1974, received the Outstanding Service to Brenau Award, the Sullivan Award and was in the first group of inductees to the Brenau Hall of Fame.

Moore was selected Rotary Woman of the Year in 1975 by the Gainesville Rotary Club. She was a Trustee and Charter Member of the Gainesville Junior Service League.
