WINDER - Barrow County School Board members reversed their decision to cut school bus service to students who live close to school.
According to Fox 5 News, concerned parents and local law enforcement officials packed the board's meeting Tuesday night to protest the new policy that would have eliminated bus service for all middle and high school students who live within a mile and a half of school.
"One child in danger is too many... that's it," said one parent at Tuesday night's meeting.
Board members decided to reverse their decision and reinstate bus service, but they said they still don't know where the money will come from.
The move would have saved Barrow County Schools $450,000.
