GDOT road maintenance plans for this week in NE Ga.

GAINESVILLE - The Georgia Department of Transportation Tuesday announced this week's road maintenance plans in northeast Georgia.

Most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures.

WHEN: Crews will work today through Friday, September 5. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if weather permits. Lane closures are required for patching asphalt, a flagman or pilot vehicle will direct traffic through the work zone.

WHERE and WHAT:

Barrow A crew will clean drainage structures along and under SR 316. The shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.

Clarke A crew will trim the vegetation in the rights of way alongside SR 15/US 441. The shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.

Jackson A crew will be repairing the rutting alongside on SR 82. A lane closure is required as this work occurs. Another crew will rebuilt the shoulders alongside SR 332, the shoulder and a lane will be closed as this work occurs. Litter pickup is planned for SR 11/US 129, SR 15 Alternate, SR 82 and SR 53.

Oconee A crew will reset the grade of the shoulders adjacent to SR 10/US 78 and SR 316. A lane and shoulder closure is required as this work occurs. Another crew will trim vegetation growing in the rights of way alongside SR 10 Loop. This work requires the shoulder of the road to close.

Habersham A crew will mow the rights of way alongside SR 115 while another crew repairs damaged guardrail along SR 365. The shoulders will be closed as this work occurs.

Lumpkin A crew will repair rutting that developed along the edge of the pavement at SR 60 and SR 115. The shoulder of the roadway will be closed and a lane closure is possible as this work occurs.

Rabun - A crew will repair the damaged driving surface on the SR 28 Bridge over the Chattooga River at the State Line. One lane closure will be in place as work occurs, a flagger will direct traffic through the work zone.

Towns A crew will manually clean the drainage pipes serving SR 17 and SR 2/US 76. The shoulder will be closed as this work occurs. Another crew will install reflective raised pavement markers on SR 17, SR 2 and SR 66. A rolling lane closure will occur as this work occurs.

Union A crew will mow the rights of way on SR 515 using a long arm mower. The shoulders will be closed as the work occurs.

White A crew will mow the rights of way on SR 17 north of Helen. The shoulders will be closed as the work occurs.

Dawson A crew will trim vegetation and mow the rights of way along SR 136. Lanes will be closed as intersections are cleaned.

Forsyth A crew will seal the cracks in the driving surface of SR 369. One lane will be closed as this work occurs. Another crew will repair the driving surface of the south bound SR 400 bridge over Big Creek. One lane will be closed as this work occurs.

Gwinnett A crew will remove overgrown vegetation along SR 120. The shoulders will be closed as this work occurs. Another crew will repair concrete drainage structures alongside SR 20, lane closures are possible with this work.

Hall A crew will mow the slopes in the alongside SR 52. The shoulders will be closed as this work occurs. Crews will also remove and replace damaged asphalt on SR 52 and SR 11/US 129, one lane will be closed as this work occurs.

INTERSTATE 85 Crews will close the north and south High Occupancy Vehicle lanes just north of Old Peachtree Road, Exit 109. The closure is required to repair the concrete barrier wall that separates northbound and southbound traffic.

Banks A crew will be mow the rights of way alongside SR 59, SR 164, and SR 63. This work requires the shoulders to be closed

Elbert A crew will trim vegetation growing alongside SR 77 and SR 72. This work requires the shoulders to be closed.

Franklin A crew will seal the cracks in the driving surface of SR 320. A lane closure is required as this work occurs.

Hart A crew will service the driveways intersecting with SR 172. This work requires a lane and the shoulder to be closed. Another crew will repair damaged guardrail alongside SR 77 Connector, the shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.

Madison A crew will repair edge rutting alongside SR 106. This work requires a lane closure. Then the crew will spray overgrown vegetation with herbicide alongside SR 174, SR 281, SR 191 and SR 106. A lane and the shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.

Stephens A crew remove overgrown vegetation in the rights of way alongside SR 63. The shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.
