Wolves crush Berkmar, 56-0, allow 26 total yards
BUFORD -- One week after a slugfest, Buford barely broke a sweat on Friday in putting away Berkmar 56-0 in Buford.
The Wolves (2-0) put up 42 points and 314 yards in the first half -- 28 points in the first quarter -- before cruising to the win.
Buford's defense also held Berkmar to 26 total yards for the contest.
Xavier Gantt led Buford's rushing attack with 45 yards, opening the scoring just 27 seconds into the contest. Luke Humphrey also completed 6 of 7 passes, including two touchdowns -- one to Steven Reese (19 yards) and one to Brandon Mangram (44 yards).
Joshua Thomas also had touchdown runs of one and five yards for Buford, while Martin Mangram and Jay Mays also had scoring runs.
Buford finished with 392 total yards.
The Wolves will play host to McEachern next Friday.
