Mill Creek sets records in 65-27 win at West Forsyth
CUMMING -- Johnathan Hawkins and Bryson King each set records for Mill Creek, as the Hawks blistered West Forsyth 65-27 to set a new mark for points scored in a game on Friday in Cumming.
Hawkins ripped off a 97-yard touchdown run to open the scoring for the Hawks (1-1) -- the longest in program history.
King, meanwhile, kicked the most points after touchdown in team history (9) and also recorded the most touchbacks on kickoffs (6).
Hawkins finished with 162 yards rushing on 13 carries and three touchdowns. Brian Esianayi also added 102 yards on 13 carries and two scores.
Malik Turner added two rushing touchdowns and one scoring reception, while quarterback Daniel David also rushed for a score.
Sidney Otiwu also returned an interception 75 yards for a score.
The Hawks will play host to Dacula next week.
