GAINESVILLE - A group of people from the Gainesville area are putting on their dancing shoes to help raise money for five local human service agencies: Alliance for Literacy, American Red Cross, Center Point, Rape Response, and Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Inc.

"Dancing for a Cause" will be held at the Gainesville Civic Center Sept. 6. The eleven contestants will be performing a variety of different dance styles in front of a panel of judges as well as audience members.

"Dancing for a Cause" has partnered with the North Georgia Community Foundation to facilitate tax-deductible donations in support of the event.
