GAINESVILLE - Next to Public Safety Complex on Queen City Parkway, the Hall County GOP opened its new Headquarters Office Tuesday night.

They held an open house, and welcomed Republicans from all levels of government.

Gainesville citizen Ken Duvall says he attended the opening of the party's state facility in Flowery Branch as well.

Based on his observations from both events, he says Republicans have a major demographic they need to reach.

"I'd like to see the younger people get involved," said Duvall.

He says he noticed more older people at both events, and hopes that will change.

"It's the younger people who need the education as to what's going on in the city, the county, and the state. They're the ones we need to target to get out to vote," said Duvall.

Kris Yardley, Chairman of the Hall County Republican Party, says he hopes they can use the facility to reach out to the Republican voters in Hall County, especially to get them to the voting booth in November.

"Democrats think they have a chance [in Georgia]," said Yardley. "What we're going to do [here] is make sure they know that Georgia is not up for grabs. We're going to stay Republican in every office statewide, and this [new facility] is part of that effort."

The building is located in Suite A in the complex on Queen City Parkway.
