MOSCOW -- The final day of racing of the 2014 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships came to a close on Sunday, as four American boats -- including one guided by a Lanier Canoe/Kayak Club associate -- took to the water to compete in various finals.

The top result for Team USA came from 2012 Olympian and LCKC competitor Tim Hornsby (Atlanta) in the K1 Men's 200M "B" Final, where he finished second.

Hornsby crossed the finish line in 34.503 seconds, just behind Bulgaria's Kristian Dushev, who took gold with a time of 34.489.
