Motorcyclists seriously injured in Toccoa wreck

TOCCOA - The Georgia State Patrol is continuing its investigation into a two-vehicle wreck that left two motorcyclists seriously injured Friday afternoon.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica was traveling west on Memorial Drive attempting to cross Georgia Highway 17. The Pacifica struck the left side of a Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle.

The husband and wife who were on the motorcycle were seriously injured in the resulting collision, the GSP spokesman said.

The GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team also responded to the wreck, which occurred in the area of Walmart at 12:22 p.m.

No additional details are available Friday afternoon.
