HOMER - A businessman arrested in Banks County for child molestation Friday now faces an additional charge.
Will Doc "Buddy" Fowlkes Jr., 67, of Commerce was charged with sexual battery today after a separate incident with a separate victim was discovered, said Sgt. Carissa McFaddin of Banks County Sheriff's Office.
Fowlkes is president of SportsTech USA, Inc., which operates SportsTech Training Center at 260 Banks Crossing Drive in Banks Crossing.
According to the company's website, Fowlkes has coached youth and summer league teams for more than 40 years.
SportsTech was founded in 1992 by the Fowlkes family as a player development program for young baseball and softball players.
The case remains under investigation by both Banks County Sheriff's Office investigators and the GBI.
"Due to the sensitive nature of this case and the victims involved, information regarding where the incidents occurred is not being released at this time," McFaddin said.
Anyone with information they believe will help investigators can call the sheriff's office at (706) 677-2248.
