G-Braves' finale at Syracuse cancelled
By Staff reports
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -– Rain has forced the cancellation of today’s noon game between the Gwinnett Braves and the Syracuse Chiefs at NBT Bank Stadium. The game will not be made up as the two clubs do not meet again in 2014.
The Gwinnett Braves continue their road trip on Tuesday night with the opener of a four-game series against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. First pitch at PNC Field is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The starting pitcher for the G-Braves has yet to be announced, while the RailRiders have slated left-hander Nik Turley (1-2, 6.23) to start. Tony Schiavone will have the play-by-play call beginning at 6:50 p.m. on WDUN.com, GwinnettBraves.com, Tune-In Radio and the MiLB First Pitch app.
The G-Braves return to Coolray Field on Saturday, Aug. 2 for a 7:05 p.m. game against the Charlotte Knights. Tickets are on sale now at the Coolray Field Ticket Office, call 678-277-0340 or visit GwinnettBraves.com to purchase.
