Six arrested in Forsyth, Dawson Co. thefts
CUMMING - Forsyth County authorities have rounded up six suspects and they are looking for one more in connection with a series of recent thefts and burglaries across the northern end of Forsyth County and part of Dawson County.
Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Robin Regan said their break came on Sunday, July 20 when patrol deputies spotted a vehicle that had been linked to some of the break-ins.
"One of our patrol deputies was in the area of [Highway] 369 and Little Mill Road - this was about 4:30 in the morning - and they encountered a suspicious vehicle," said Regan.
He said when the deputies pulled over the vehicle, they found marijuana and stolen items in the car. The two occupants in the vehicle were arrested.
"That led investigators and deputies...to a number of other suspects and also some more evidence and paraphernalia that were linked to other crimes," said Regan.
The suspects and charges were listed as follows:
-Justin Bridges was charged with two counts of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Entering Auto, Conspiracy to commit a Felony and Possession of Marijuana.
-Savannah Driskell was charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of Marijuana.
-Zachary Umberger was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
-Nicholas Porter and Laurel Farris were charged with Burglary 2nd degree.
-Boyd Spencer was charged with Criminal Damage 2nd degree.
Regan said active burglary warrants have been issued for Nicholas Shaver.
Regan did not say where the suspects lived, nor did he release a specific dollar amount in reference to the stolen merchandise.
