LAWRENCEVILLE - A Monday afternoon house fire in Lawrenceville has been ruled as an arson.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly, however, the interior of the home was extensively damaged.
Rutledge reported evidence suggested that a fire was started in multiple rooms in the house. The fire is being investigated as arson. Specific details will not be released as the investigation continues.
The family that lived in the home was not there at the time of the fire. The four adults and two children were unhurt. They are receiving temporary assistance from the American Red Cross.
