Buford man charged with beating of young girl
LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County police have arrested a Buford man in connection with the severe beating of a young girl, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
The newspaper report indicated the child sustained injuries to most of her body, including a broken collarbone and several cracked ribs.
The suspect, who was arrested Sunday, has been identified as 20-year-old Jalaska J. Earls. The child's mother Gloria Nesha Stringer, 22, of Flowery Branch was charged with child cruelty for failing to get medical attention for her daughter.
Gwinnett County police are expected to release more details in the case.
