Top fast-pitch softball teams in tournament in Cumming, Gainesville

The 2014 Triple Crown USA Nationals is taking place this week in Cumming, Alpharetta and Gainesville.
More than 180 of the top 14U, 16U and 18U clubs in the country are in this year’s tournament field.
“The TC/USA Nationals brings together elite softball clubs from across the country to compete for a national championship,” said TC/USA Nationals Director Krista Judge. “Each year the event is played in a different region of the U.S. This year we are excited to be playing the event in Cumming-Forsyth County, Alpharetta, and Gainesville..."
“Our community has had a positive relationship with the Triple Crown organization for many years,” said James McCoy, President and CEO Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce. “We were pleased to further that relationship with the addition of the Triple Crown USA Nationals,
televised by CBS Sports Network.”
A record 27 states will be represented in this year’s tournament.
Lanier Point in Gainesville is hosting the 14U competition. Parks in Cumming and Alpharetta are hosting the other games.
