G-Braves, Tides rained out in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. -– Thursday's 7:05 p.m. game between the Gwinnett Braves (43-50) and the Norfolk Tides (37-56) at Harbor Park has been postponed by rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, July 12 at 5:05 p.m.

The G-Braves and Tides will also play a doubleheader on Friday night at Harbor Park, first pitch of game one scheduled for 5:05 PM. Friday’s doubleheader makes up a previous rain-out from April 7 in Norfolk.

Right-hander Cody Martin (6-6, 3.17) will start for the G-Braves in game one on Friday. Atlanta Braves’ right-hander Pedro Beato (1-0, 3.68) will make his second minor league rehab start for Gwinnett in game two. Tony Schiavone will have the play-by-play call beginning at 4:50 p.m. on WDUN.com, GwinnettBraves.com, Tune-In Radio and the MiLB First Pitch app.

The G-Braves return to Coolray Field on Thursday, July 17 as they open a four-game series against the Durham Bulls. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Coolray Field Ticket Office, call 678-277-0340 or visit GwinnettBraves.com to purchase.
