GDOT announces NE Ga. maintenance schedule for next week

GAINESVILLE - The Georgia Department of Transportation announces routine maintenance activities planned next week in northeast Georgia.
WHEN: Crews will work Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 11. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if weather permits. Lane closures are required for patching asphalt, a flagman or pilot vehicle will direct traffic through the work zone.
WHAT & WHERE:
Banks – A crew repair the shoulders alongside SR 59 and SR 105. A lane will be closed as this work occurs.
Elbert – A crew will trim vegetation growing alongside SR 77 Spur and SR 72. This work requires the shoulders to be closed.
Franklin – A crew will mow the shoulders and slopes alongside SR 326. The shoulders will be closed as this work occurs.
Hart –A crew will rebuild shoulders alongside SR 8, SR 77 Spur, SR 181 and SR 328 closing the shoulder and one lane of as this work occurs.
Madison – A crew hand sweep each intersection along SR 72. Lanes will be closed as this work occurs. Then the crew will move to SR 8 and SR 98 to repair rutting that has developed alongside the pavement. A lane and the shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.
Stephens – A crew spray overgrown vegetation in the rights of way alongside SR 365. The shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.
Forsyth – A crew will mow the slopes alongside SR 306 and SR 369. The shoulders will be closed as this work occurs. Another crew will repair rutting that has developed adjacent to the edge of pavement on SR 369. A lane closure and shoulder closure is required as this work occurs.
Gwinnett – A crew will mow alongside SR 8/US 29, SR 13 and SR 140. The shoulders will be closed as this work occurs. Another crew will pick up trash and litter along state routes throughout the County.
Hall – A crew will mow alongside SR 283. The shoulders will be closed as this work occurs.
