Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks.

Braselton City Park Celebrate Braselton Festival, Parade and Fireworks.
Festival from 4 to 10 p.m., parade at 6 a.m. and fireworks begin at dark. The Braselton Gallery will also be open until 7:30 p.m.

Star Spangled Fun Run begins at at 8:15 a.m., 5k begins at 8 a.m. Strollers welcome.

Celebrate Independence Day family-style on the historic Dahlonega square. Includes the Firecracker 5K, Gold City Classic Car Show, patriotic ceremonies, a grill out, fireworks and more.

Dawsonville's Sparks in the Motorsports Park
Sponsored by the Dawsonville Downtown Development Authority, this event takes place at the Atlanta Motorsports Park on Duck Thurmond Road. The park opens at 1 p.m. for karting, cycling, music food and more. Free fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m.

Demorest Glorious Fourth of July
This old fashioned celebration of the nation's independence has been a tradition in Demorest since 1890. Parade follows a brief opening ceremony at 11 a.m. Activities throughout the day, with fireworks at dusk.

Ellijay Downtown Square Fourth of July
Star Spangled beach party of the square, festivities include a parade at 6 p.m., music and fireworks at dark.

Flowery Branch Sterling on the Lake
Kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a live band, fireworks at dusk. $15 per car for non-residents.

EAA Chapter 611 announces their 45th annual Cracker Fly-In at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport Runway 29. $3 donation per person at the gate, kids and fly-in pilots free. Family activities all day.
