Collins recognizes new 9th Dist. military academy cadets, including two from Hall Co.

GAINESVILLE – U.S. Rep. Doug Collins (GA-09) hosted a reception recently in honor of the 9th Congressional District’s newly admitted military service academy cadets.
At the reception, held at Luna’s in Gainesville, Collins congratulated each of the cadets and their families on successfully making it through the highly competitive application and nomination process.
The new cadets are: Noah Vincent, Jackson County, Air Force Academy; Harrison Summerour, Dawson County, Air Force Academy; Jacob Sherman, Jackson County, Merchant Marine Academy; Sam Heydinger, Elbert County, West Point; Donavan Moss, Hall County, Air Force Academy; Nathan Katcih, Hall County, Air Force Academy; Jordan Tyler, Jackson County, Air Force Academy; and Rachel York, Habersham County, West Point.
“It’s important for our whole community to congratulate these new cadets on earning admission to our service academies and to send them off with our best wishes," Collins said. "We’ve really gotten to know these outstanding students through the interviews, the applications, and now the celebration of this great achievement. We’ll miss them in Northeast Georgia as they go on to the incredible opportunities ahead, and I know we can all look forward to hearing updates on their success.”
