Trial for 2013 Gainesville murder to start next week
GAINESVILLE - Jury selection is underway in the upcoming trial of Joseph Scott Williams, accused in the June, 2013, shooting death of Adrian Thompson outside of Pepper's Grocery store on E.E. Butler Parkway in Gainesville.
In addition to the murder charge, the 32-year-old Williams faces charges of possession of a gun during the commission of a crime and possession of a gun by a convicted felon.
According to Hall County Court Administrator Reggie Forrester, jury selection should be completed by tomorrow with a trial start date of Monday, June 23rd.
Judge Jason Deal will preside in the case.
