GAINESVILEE - Can't make it to one of the planning public input meetings on the Gainesville area's various transportation needs and issues? Now there's a way for you to comment online.
The first of the community meetings was held last week by the Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization (GHMPO), which is updating the region's long-range transportation plan. (See earlier story. First link below.)
But there's a way to comment without attending one of the meetings. An online survey is available for first-time participants as well as additional input from those who may have already commented.
Sam Baker, Senior Transportation Planner for the Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization , says the groups is looking for input on developing goals, recommendations and projects affecting area transportation.
