By The Associated Press
ATLANTA - One of five men arrested in the killing of the brother of an Atlanta pastor has pleaded guilty.
WSB-TV reports 18-year-old Demetrius Morgan pleaded guilty to manslaughter, gang activity and armed robbery. Under a plea deal with prosecutors, he agreed to a 30-year prison sentence with 25 years to serve.
Morgan was one of five arrested in the death of Jerrick Jackson, the brother of Gospel Tabernacle Cathedral founder Bishop Wiley Jackson.
Police said at the time that Jerrick Jackson and his fiancee were approached by several men with guns when they arrived home around 1 a.m. on May 7, 2013. The men robbed Jackson and his fiancee outside and then ordered them inside the home. Police said Jackson was shot when he began to fight with one suspect.
