12th case of rabies confirmed in Hall County this year

HALL COUNTY - Hall County Animal Control has confirmed another positive case of rabies in the county, the twelfth so far this year.
A rabid raccoon had contact with a cat in the area of Heather Stone Dr. in East Hall on Wednesday.
The raccoon was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur, where it tested positive for rabies.
If you see animals acting abnormally, especially in the area of Heather Stone Dr., contact Hall County Animal Services.
Animal owners are encouraged to keep their pets up-to-date on vaccinations.
