FLOWERY BRANCH - The South Hall Republican Club will host U.S. Senate candidate and U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston at its meeting Monday night.

Ed Asbridge with the club made the announcement this week.

Kingston is in a runoff with businessman David Perdue for the Republican nomination. The runoff is July 22. The winner will face Democratic nominee Michelle Nunn and Libertarian candidate Amanda Swafford on Nov. 4. The winner will replace Senator Saxby Chambliss who is not running for re-election.

Also on tap to speak are Georgia School Superintendent candidate Richard Woods and Hall County School Board Candidate Mark Pettitt, both in runoffs. Pettitt faces the incumbent Brian Sloan in July.

The 6:30 p.m. meeting at the Spout Springs Library is open to the public.
