DAHLONEGA - The dominant pitching year of the second-ranked University of North Georgia softball team continues to garner accolades, as the duo of Victoria Sink and Courtney Poole have been honored on Daktronics' All-American list. Sink earned a spot on the ballot's third team while Poole collected honorable mention All-American honors.

Sink was named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year and earned a spot on the league's All-Conference list. She threw only the second 7-inning perfect game in PBC history in a 7-0 win over Young Harris on April 9.

Sink was also named to the PBC All-Tournament team and garnered All-Region honors by both Daktronics and the NFCA.

The senior from Hoschton, ended the season with a 24-2 overall mark in the circle which included a stretch of 19 consecutive wins.

Poole, a Watkinsville, native, wrapped up her sophomore campaign with a 23-9 overall record in 31 starts and was also named to the Peach Belt's All-Conference team. In 217 innings of work, the sophomore tallied 150 strikeouts, which ranks fifth in the PBC, while sporting a 2.03 earned run average.

She won 17 of her last 20 starts and reached the 20-win plateau for the second consecutive season. Poole joined Sink on the PBC All-Tournament team and was also honored as an All-Region selection by both publications.

Morgan Foley, who set an NCAA single-game record for strikeouts while pitching for the University of Indianapolis this season and Renee Erwin, one of the top hitters for a West Texas A&M team that spent much of the year as the top-ranked team in NCAA Division II, headed the All-America team.

The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The team is voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This is the eighth season in which Daktronics has sponsored the All-America team for softball.
