GAINESVILLE - Todd Starnes, whose popular commentaries air weekday mornings on WDUN AM-550 and FM-102.9, will conduct a town hall meeting Wednesday in Gainesville, then sign copies of his newly released book, “God Less America.”

The Todd Starnes Town Hall Event & Book Signing will be hosted by Bill and Joel of WDUN’s Morning News and in community service partnership with Brenau University. The event begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the theatre at the Brenau Downtown Center, formerly the Georgia Mountains Center at 301 Main St. SW. Free parking is available in the parking deck on Main Street.

There is no admission fee, but guests are asked to download a free ticket by going to wdun.com and following the directions there.

“Todd is the sort of guy you want to introduce to all your friends,” said Bill Maine, WDUN director of radio operations. “So when we heard about the book tour, we knew it was the perfect opportunity to do just that for our listeners.”

During the event, audience members will hear Starnes’ views on the stories of the day and be able to ask him questions. Following the town hall, the audience can meet Starnes at a post-event book signing. Sweet tea from Longstreet Café and pie from Buttermilk Pie Co. will be served during the book signing.

Starnes is an award-winning journalist, who makes regular appearances on Fox & Friends and Hannity’s America on the Fox News Channel. His work is heard on radio stations around the country, including WDUN, where his commentaries air weekdays at 8:58 a.m. He also writes a weekly column for FoxNews.com.

His new book, “God Less America,” was released on Sunday. He has written two other books, “They Popped My Hood and Found Gravy on the Dipstick” and “Dispatches from Bitter America.”

In his spare time he is active in his church, plays golf, follows SEC football, and eats barbecue.
