TWS selected as member of Benefit Advisors Network
GAINESVILLE - Turner, Wood & Smith Insurance has become the newest member of Benefit Advisors Network (BAN), the premier national network of independent employee benefit brokers and consulting firms from across the U.S.
Turner, Wood & Smith, founded in 1905, operates throughout North Georgia from its headquarters in Gainesville. A privately-held company, it currently employs 34 people and also works in the property and casualty arena serving commercial, auto and home insurance clients.
“We are very excited about joining Benefit Advisors Network,” said Rob Fowler, Executive Vice President at Turner, Wood & Smith. “Integrating our expertise with a terrific network of leading experts in benefits, health care and related services on a national scale will provide us a competitive advantage. More importantly, our clients will benefit greatly from the expanded resources.”
Continues Fowler, “Under the changing landscape of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) we look forward to having access to leading compliance experts within the employee benefits industry.”
Through a progressive, head-on approach, BAN is seeking to mitigate the uncertainty by serving as a collaborative resource, providing needed products and services for members to continue to stay relevant in an ever-changing marketplace.
“We really believe the business planning tools and client resources will enhance our firm’s continued growth, particularly over the next three to five years. We appreciate the high quality services that BAN membership adds to the arsenal of customer solutions that we currently provide to our clients,” said Turner, Wood & Smith President Joe Wood, Jr.
“We are proud to welcome Turner, Wood & Smith into our organization,” said BAN Executive Director Perry Braun. “They, along with all other Benefit Advisors Network members, are privately held, meaning our firms can stay focused on, and responsive to, the needs and expectations of their clients – not stockholders. They understand what employers need and want while simultaneously taking advantage of the resources that the national network provides.”
Members, known as Smart Partners, are screened prior to being granted membership to ensure they distinguish themselves from their competitors through their knowledge of the employee benefits industry, ethical approach, business acumen, and strategic vision. BAN intentionally limits membership to the top tier firms per geographic market.
