CLEVELAND - Monday evening, the White County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to outfit 22 county sheriff's patrol vehicles with new in-car cameras.

White County Sheriff Neal Walden told commissioners the county currently has 18 cameras - nine of which came from the Habersham County Sheriffs Office in a trade, and they all are outdated.

The new cameras will cost the county $105,000.

The board also approved the purchase of two new patrol vehicles, up to the total cost of $60,000.

Commissioners said they wanted to approve the purchase of the vehicles so they could be included in the 2014 fiscal year budget.
