Baseball: Bishop leads East Hall to sweep of Dawson County

RABBITTOWN -- Garrett Bishop had three hits and three RBI to lead East Hall to an 8-2 win over Dawson County Friday.
The win moved the Vikings (7-7, 5-7 Region 7-AAA) into a tie for fifth with the Tigers (10-7, 5-7) in the region standings.
It was the third straight win for East Hall and completed a home-and-home sweep of Dawson County.
The Tigers, however, broke out on top in the first with two runs on a RBI single by Colton Chester and a run-scoring sacrifice fly by J.T. Eggert.
East Hall answered in the bottom of the first with an RBI double by Hunter Buffington and an RBI single by Bishop.
The Vikings scored four runs in the third on a passed ball, an RBI single by Tristan Thomas, an RBI single by Jack Hagwood, and a fielder's choice. They added single runs in the fourth and sixth
Cole Smith was in control on the mound surrendering just one hit and striking out three in three innings to get the win.
