Great American Cleanup is next Sat.
GAINESVILLE - Final preparations are underway for Hall County's part in the Great American Cleanup this year.
It will take place next Saturday, April 12, hosted by Keep Hall Beautiful and the cities of Oakwood, Flowery Branch, Lula, Gainesville and Braselton. The City of Oakwood and Sterling on the Lake will also be offering an electronics recycling, document destruction and other non-traditional recycling opportunities for all Hall County Residents.
Volunteers are needed in these areas:
City of Oakwood
8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Stream & Roadside Cleanups
(Wear Old Clothes)
Meet at Oakwood City Park
Supplies, Breakfast & Lunch will be provided
Items accepted for free recycling
Most Electronics, Appliances and household documents
* TVís will be recycled for a fee
* No Electronic material containing hazardous materials/chemicals will be accepted
Gently used clothing, shoes and household goods
Eye Glasses, Cell Phones and hearing aids

Bags, gloves, water and donuts will be provided.

Bags, gloves & food will be provided.

Located below/behind the Police Municipal Court building at 5040 Highway 53 Braselton next to Town Hall.
Will be cleaning river & nearby streams . (This is a Riverís Alive Event.)
