ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Walmart fill 175 jobs for full-time and part-time workers for the company’s new store set to open in May in Suwanee. The company needs another 500 workers for two other stores it will be opening in north Georgia.
The recruitment for the Suwanee store will be held Monday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Suite 160 at the Walmart Recruitment Center, 1675 Peachtree Parkway, in Cumming. Staff of the GDOL’s Gainesville Career Center will assist the company with interviewing applicants.
The company will be recruiting cashiers, sales associates, cart pushers, and overnight stockers.
Applicants are encouraged to bring resumes and to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.
For more information about the recruitment, contact the Gainesville Career Center at (770) 535-5484, or the Wal-Mart Recruiting Center at (770) 887-4340.
The retail giant says it also needs 200 employees for its new store in Blue Ridge and they are taking applications for that store now. Walmart says employees will begin work in April to prepare for the grand opening.
The company also plans to open a store in Holly Springs in Cherokee County. Some 300 people will be hired to staff that store.
