'Fast for Families Across America' rolls into Atlanta in support of immigration reform
ATLANTA - On Wednesday at 3:00, the "Fast for Families Across America" tour will arrive at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Historic Site in Atlanta on Day 31 of a 75+ Congressional District, 14,000-mile tour promoting "common sense" immigration reform.
The tour, which started in Los Angeles on February 24, is traveling across the country to focus the "hearts and minds" of members of Congress on fixing America's "broken" immigration system and putting an end to "the family separations that continue to devastate our country and communities."
Last November the "Fast for Families" took credit for reigniting the immigration debate when Eliseo Medina, Cristian Avila and other reform advocates abstained from all food and liquids, except for water, for 22 days on the National Mall.
