Baseball: Gainesville doubles up Apalachee, 6-3

GAINESVILLE -- The Gainesville baseball team took out Apalachee 6-3 on Tuesday at Ivey-Watson Field in Gainesville.

Chandler Newton earned the win on the mound for the Red Elephants (), striking out five batters.

Brandon Sewell helped lead Gainesville at the plate with two hits and three RBI, while Sims Griffith also drove in a run.

The Red Elephants will travel to face the Wildcats today in Bethlehem.
