MACON -- Brea Elmore scored 20 points to lead Redan to a 63-53 win Thursday over Columbus in the GHSA Class AAAA girls state championship.

Destini McClary and Jada Byrd each added 16 points for the undefeated Raiders, who won their second state championship in school history.

Redan (34-0) led by two points a minute into the fourth quarter when Columbus' leading scorer Jacqueria Gunter went down with a knee injury. Gunter, who scored 16 points to lead the Blue Devils, never returned to the game. The Raiders went on an 11-2 run immediately after Gunter left the game to lead by 11 points with 2:42 to play in the game.

Columbus (30-2) never pulled closer than eight points the rest of the game.

Elmore, who has signed with Memphis, added 10 steals and six assists for the Raiders, who outscored Columbus 17-9 in the fourth quarter.
