Tennis: Gainesville girls move to 4-1 with win over Cedar Shoals

The Gainesville girls tennis team defeated Cedar Shoals 4-1 on Wednesday.

The Lady Red Elephants (4-1) won at No. 2 and 3 singles and swept the doubles points. In fact they did so without dropping a game.

Katherine Wright and Haley Frankum each won claimed 6-0, 6-0 sweeps at No. 2 and 3 singles, respectively.

Morgan Mercer/Georgia Summer won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, while Suzanne Smith/Sally Callahan were also 6-0, 6-0 victors at No. 2 doubles.

Brinkley Frankum fell 3-6, 6-1, 10-5 at No. 1 singles.

Gainesville travels to Conyers to play Heritage on Thursday.
