North Georgia's Hollis named All-Conference

UNG men's basketball player Ishmael Hollis has been tabbed as a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball first team All-Conference selection as announced by the league office this afternoon. The All-Conference honor is the second of Hollis' Nighthawk career.
Hollis is the Peach Belt Conference's second leading scorer (19.4 ppg) and fourth leading rebounder (9.2 rpg). The senior forward tallied 10 double-doubles on the season and was named the PBC Player of the Week on January 27.
Fifteen players were selected to the team by the league's head coaches with the top five named to the first team, the next five to the second team and following five on the third team.
Montevallo's Troran Brown was named the PBC Player of the Year while Georgia Regents' Keshun Sherrill the Freshman of the Year. USC Aiken's Alvin Brown was selected the PBC Defensive Player of the Year with his head coach, Vince Alexander, the PBC Coach of the Year.
The Nighthawks enter this week's PBC Championship Tournament as the #3 seed out of the West Division and will take on Georgia Regents (East #2) on Friday, March 7 at 3:00 PM in the Lumpkin Center on the campus of Columbus State.
