The Buford boys survived one of their toughest challenges of the season Thursday holding off Cartersville 80-73 to advance to their second straight Class AAA Final Four.

Meanwhile, Jefferson put up a solid fight for a half before falling to defending Class AA state champion Greater Atlanta Christian 60-47 at home.

Buford moves on to play Callaway at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Class AAA semifinals at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. The Wolves are back in the state semifinals for the second straight season and third time in four years.
