GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee girls soccer team won its second game in row on Wedneday, defeating Franklin County 4-0 in Gainesville.

The Lady War Eagles scored all four goals in the first half, starting with Samantha Addington's penalty kick strike. Hope Baxter finished off a pass from Sadie Foote at the 25 minute mark to stretch the lead to 2-0. Baxter scored the next goal six minutes later, and Taylor Buffington secured the fourth goal before the interval with an assist from Addington.

Misandy Chavez made six saves in goal and notched her second shut-out in as many nights.

Chestatee defeated Cedar Shoals on Tuesday, also 4-0.

Jacelin Sanchez, Ashley Grant and Mary Ashley Easterwood helped with solid defensive work on both nights.

The War Eagles travel to Monroe Area on Friday for their first Region 8-AAAA match-up.
