Baseball: West Hall moves to 2-0 on the season

OAKWOOD -- The West Hall baseball team is off to a 2-0 start after wins over Chestatee and Johnson.

The Spartans opened their campaign with a 6-1 win over the War Eagles on Saturday. Zach English was the winning pitcher.

West Hall then rolled to a 15-2 win over Johnson on Monday in Oakwood.

Will Simmons earned the win on the mound for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Stubbs helped lead the West Hall offensive onslaught, going 2-for-4 with a double and a home run. Cameron Johnson and Michael Cronic also blasted home runs, with Cronic producing three hits and Johnson two.
