Winter storm warning extended into Thursday afternoon
PEACHTREE CITY - Forecasters with the National Weather Service have once again extended a winter storm warning; the end time for the warning is now 1 p.m. Thursday.
The warning covers a large portion of the state of Georgia along and north of a line from Carrollton in the west to Atlanta to Washington on the east side of the state.
Snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected to continue across a large part of the state with accumulations ranging from little to none in the Atlanta area to 4 inches or more in the higher elevations.
