GAINESVILLE – The School-Based Enterprise (SBE), Get Gifted, at The Oaks at Lanier Charter Career Academy (LCCA) was among 220 school stores in the country achieving Gold Level Certification (or Gold Level Re-certification) this year.

Get Gifted will be recognized at DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Atlanta in May. Student manager Jonathan Zuniga worked on the SBE certification with the assistance of his advisers, Shenley Rountree and Joni Cochran.

The Oaks at Lanier Charter Career Academy allows students from each of the six traditional Hall County high schools to attend industry-specific classes and gain authentic experience working in businesses at The Oaks. The student operated businesses include: Meeting & Events, Corner Café, the Bistro, Get Gifted, Reflections Salon and Design 360. The businesses are open to the general public during the normal school day.
