NGCF opens scholarship application process
GAINESVILLE – The application process for scholarships administered by the North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) has opened, and the deadline for area high school seniors is March 5.
Scholarships are available from more than 20 scholarship funds. Each scholarship has its own specific purpose and eligibility criteria, and awards vary in size depending on the amount available in each fund. The scholarships are available to high school seniors – graduating in 2014.
Last year $168,250 in scholarship money was awarded to nearly 100 students in Banks, Dawson, Fannin, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White counties.
Applications and more information about the eligibility requirements for each scholarship can be downloaded at www.ngcf.org/scholarships. Students may apply for as many scholarships as they choose as long as they meet eligibility requirements. Applications will be accepted through March 5 unless otherwise specified.
