Banks Co. Superintendent search continues on schedule
By Alyson Shields Staff
HOMER - The Banks County School Board continues to search for a new superintendent, and the Board wants community input.
A survey will be available later this month for community members, students, parents and employees to share their input as the school board screens applicants. Employees will also receive an additional survey about what qualities are needed in a superintendent.
The surveys are due at the end of the month, and applications are due on the 24th. The survey can be taken on the Banks County School System website (linked below.) The board plans to review the surveys before scheduling interviews.
The Board also received an update about the search at a work session in December and planned details of the search, including interview procedures.
In Feburary, the Board plans to review all the applications recieved and hopes to begin interviewing late in the month. Two rounds of interviews are planned.
The search is planned to conclude in either late March or early April, 2014.
