DAHLONEGA - The first Dahlonega City Council meeting of 2014 began with the swearing in of new members Roman Gaddis, Michael Clemons and Mitchell Ridley.

Also taking the oath of office at Monday's meeting was re-elected Mayor Gary McCullough.

On hand as City Clerk Lou Stewart conducted the swearing in ceremony were representatives from the Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners, Chairman Chris Dockery and Commissioner Clarence Grindle.

McCullough welcomed the new Council Members and said he is, "confident they will all do their best to serve the residents of Dahlonega."

The Dahlonega City Council consists of six council members and the Mayor, each serving four year terms.

Council meetings are open to the public. They are held the first Monday of every month, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Dahlonega City Hall.
