Traffic flow changes planned today near Braselton
BRASELTON – Some traffic flow changes are in the works in the Braselton area today.
Georgia DOT says two new traffic signals will become operational and traffic will be moved over to use newly constructed lanes on State Route 347.
Traffic will be moved over on new lanes of SR 347 from Chateau Corners Drive to the new intersection with SR 211. The traffic shuffle will allowcrews to rebuild the original lanes of SR 347 while traffic runs in newly built lanes.
One new signal is at the intersection of the new SR 347 and SR 211, lining up the new SR 347 with Bayberry Drive. The second new signal is at the intersection of new SR 347 and Deaton Creek Parkway.
This changes are part of a 7.97-mile, $38.4 million project. Work began in October 2012 and is scheduled for completion by January 12, 2016.
