Hall Co. family displaced by fire
By B.J. Williams Editor
GAINESVILLE - No one was hurt Tuesday morning when a fire broke out at a mobile home on Carolyn Street just off Keith Bridge Road.
The fire started around 4:30 a.m., according to Fire Marshal Scott Cagle.
"When firefighters arrived, the fire was already fully involved in the mobile home. It's already stated to be a total loss by firefighters on the scene," said Cagle.
Cagle said the family inside the structure was able to get out of the burning building without injury.
"The smoke alarm did wake them up, so the smoke alarm-once again- does its job, notifies the family and the family was able to exit the structure without any injuries.
Cagle said the cause of the fire was undetermined, but he said investigators would be at the fire scene during the day Tuesday to pinpoint a cause.
The fire was the second mobile home fire for Hall County crews in less than 12 hours. (See separate story on earlier fire.)
