Boys basketball: Chestatee moves into semis at East Jackson tourney

COMMERCE -- The Chestatee boys knocked off host East Jackson Friday night 83-69 in the first round of the East Jackson Tournament.

Hunter Creamer poured in 24 points to go with 15 rebounds and Jordan Pulliam added 12 points and 11 rebounds to pace the War Eagles (4-9). Jordan Stubblefield added 18 points and Joey Scheman added 17 for Chestatee.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Chestatee. The War Eagles will take on Apalachee in the tournament semifinals at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.
