Cornelia presents employee longevity awards

CORNELIA - The City of Cornelia recently presented employee longevity awards for years of service.
Receiving certificates for 15 years of service to the city were Fire Lt. Phillip Kimbrell; Wastewater Operator Class III Peggy Gragg; and Buildings, Grounds and Sanitation Supervisor Gary Worley.
Groundskeeper Robert Sharpton, Sanitation CDL Driver Colleen Hyde, Police Lt. Kevin Marsteller, and Firefighter Mark Stavely received certificates for 10 years of service.
A number of employees also were honored for five years of service to the city, including: Water Distribution Operator Larry Brown, Police Cpl. Deloney Gunnels, Economic Development Manager Jonathan Herschell, Maintenance Technician Shane Mealor, Police Office of Professional Standards Scott Neumyer, Firefighter Jared Nix, Code Enforcement Officer Corey Palmer and Water Plant Lead Operator Nancy Smith.
