HOMER - Banks County officials say they still have no suspects in the case of a woman who was glued to a toilet seat on Nov. 27.
Deputies and rescue personnel were called to The Home Depot on Steven B. Tanger Boulevard in Commerce at 1:09 p.m. after the store manager reported a female customer had gotten stuck on the toilet in the women's restroom.
"When deputies arrived, they found that a female had been injured by being glued to a toilet seat located in the ladies restroom inside the business," said Deputy Carissa McFaddin.
Emergency medical personnel were able to remove the woman from the toilet seat, then transported her to Northridge Medical Center in Commerce for treatment, the incident report states.
The store manager told deputies she found an item wrapped up in a brown paper sack in the bathroom floor and noticed what appeared to be some kind of glue on all the toilet seats, according to the report.
The deputy recovered the bag, which contained Loctite GO2 Glue, placing it and the toilet seat into evidence, the report states.
McFaddin said investigators are persistently seeking more information regarding the case.
"This incident is still being ruled as an open investigation," McFaddin said Monday. "Other individuals are being scheduled to be interviewed regarding the situation at hand. Investigators are seeking additional evidence at this time. Currently, we do not have any suspects in the case."
